Privacy Policy

Financial Growth Concepts (FGC), and its founder and principal, Dennis L. Roubal, CFP®, CRPS®, RIA, value their client-planner relationships and strive to protect the privacy of their clients, whether prospective, current, or former.

Job one is safeguarding the security, integrity, and confidentiality of the nonpublic personal information entrusted to them by their clients from foreseeable infringements.

 

The Gramm-Leach-Bliley (GLB) Act of 1999*—also known as the Financial Modernization Act of 1999, or simply the GLB Act—regulates the financial privacy requirements of firms like Financial Growth Concepts (FGC), and financial planners such as Dennis L. Roubal, both of which conduct business in full compliance with the Act as well as the Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility promulgated and administered by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.

Financial Growth Concepts and Dennis L. Roubal are committed to controlling and managing the nonpublic, personal information they collect about their clients. Collection of information is limited to that which allows them to assess a client's financial situation, meet a client's financial services needs, and transact their business in a professional and ethical manner.

The only information they collect—other than that which is required to be collected by law—is information clients care to share, either directly through oral, written, and electronic communications, or indirectly through authorized contact with third parties. While the amount and type of information collected will vary according to the scope of the financial services requested by the client, it typically will include:

A client's name, address, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address to facilitate subsequent contact with the client.
Information of a personal, financial, investment, income, tax, asset, credit, medical, health, etc., or other nature that is necessary to complete a client's financial plan or provide another requested financial service.
Information obtained from a client's transactions with Financial Growth Concepts and Dennis L. Roubal.
Information obtained from a client's transactions with an affiliated third party, a non-affiliated third party, or other entity, such as a financial services company, banker, securities broker, insurance agent, consumer reporting agency, lawyer, accountant, tax preparer, estate planner, mortgage lender, personal assistant, consultant, auditor, etc.

 

 

Financial Growth Concepts and Dennis L. Roubal are committed to ensuring the accuracy of the nonpublic, personal information they collect about their clients. If a client notices an inaccuracy or error in any of their account statements, documents, communications, or other information, they are encouraged to immediately report the inaccuracy or error so it can be promptly corrected by Dennis L. Roubal.

The nonpublic, personal information collected about their clients is never released, rented, or sold to solicitors, mailing list vendors, or other third parties.

They only disclose non-public, personal information when they are required to by law or authorized to by a client, including:

Information necessary to provide a client with the services requested.
Information a client has authorized to be released to non-affiliated third parties such as financial services companies, bankers, securities brokers, insurance agents, consumer reporting agencies, lawyers, accountants, tax preparers, estate planners, mortgage lenders, personal assistants, consultants, auditors, etc.
Information necessary to comply with federal, state, or local laws, rules, and other applicable legal requirements.
Information necessary to comply with a properly authorized civil, criminal, or regulatory investigation, subpoena, or summons by federal, state, or local authorities.
Information necessary to respond to judicial process or government regulatory authority having jurisdiction over a financial services company for examination, compliance, or other purposes, as authorized by law.

 

Financial Growth Concepts and Dennis L. Roubal maintain the nonpublic, personal information they collect about their clients according to the following guidelines:

Information is retained as is needed to efficiently and effectively meet a client's requests for financial services.
Information is retained as is mandated by federal and state rules and regulations.
Information is retained as is customary and prudent according to professional standards and business practices within the financial services industry.

Roubal caution clients to thoroughly consider the risks and consequences of conveying their nonpublic, personal information—particularly social security numbers, dates of birth, account numbers, usernames, passwords, etc.—to them by insecure means, such as regular mail or non-encrypted e-mail, which is very insecure.
