|
Dennis L. Roubal CFP®, CRPS®, RIA, resides on the
outskirts of Marquette, Michigan with his wife, Susan (Neiger)
Roubal, DO, an accomplished, award-winning, pastel
artist. They have one son, Ken, who resides in the greater-Lansing,
Michigan area.
An Upper Peninsula man through and
through, Dennis was born and raised in Menominee, Michigan.
He received a bachelor of science degree from Northern Michigan
University (NMU) in Marquette.
A graduate assistant at NMU, he completed
his graduate studies at NMU and Michigan State University
(MSU) in East Lansing, Michigan.
He served six years in the U.S.
Naval Reserves, two of which were on active duty. A veteran
of the Vietnam War, Dennis served aboard the 437-foot USS
Waddell DDG-24, a 4,500-ton guided missile destroyer
staffed by 21 officers and 345 enlisted personnel.
Civic-minded, Dennis regularly volunteers
his skills and time. His community service has included:
President of the Grosse Pointe Artists Association; Vice
President of the Timber Creek Road Association; business
consultant to 231 House of Muses, a music-oriented venue
for youth; and coach for a Grosse Pointe Park community
roller-blade hockey team.
When he's not working on a financial plan
for one of his clients or doing volunteer work, Dennis enjoys
reading about economics, investing, history, and computers;
boating on Lake Superior; trout fishing in Canada; listening
to music and enjoying the arts; and exercising, whether
at the gym or hiking.

to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in 2006.

has served on the editorial board of the Journal
of Financial Planning, peer reviewing articles prior to publication.

Dennis
was conferred the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®)
credential in 2002 by the College
for Financial Planning®, an educational institution founded
in 1972.
The CRPS® designationwhich is only awarded to
those who complete extensive course work; pass a rigorous examination;
disclose prior or ongoing regulatory, civil, or criminal investigations;
and agree to adhere to a strict code of ethicscertifies a financial
professional is qualified in pre- and post-retirement financial matters
and is capable of designing, installing, and maintaining retirement
plans for the business community.
